The selection of hearing instruments should be made as a part of a complete evaluation of your hearing abilities. This includes hearing test, patient history and any additional testing necessary to arrive at a final recommendation. We invite you to visit our office to discuss your hearing requirements.

When you arrive our friendly office staff will greet you and take your insurance information. We will bill your insurance company for you and make your next appointment. We will also keep you supplied with hearing aid batteries.

Dr. Fagan will examine your ears utilizing a video otoscope which will allow you to see an enlarged view of your own ear.

Next, you will be placed in a sound booth and asked to press a button when you hear small sounds. You will also be asked to repeat words chosen from a list representing all the sounds of the English language. A familiar voice helps with this assessment and bringing a friend or relative who can help present the words is helpful. The evaluation is not uncomfortable and only takes a few minutes.

After the testing, Dr. Fagan will spend time explaining the results and recommended solutions to your communication difficulty. There is usually a lot of information given; another reason why it is helpful to bring a friend or relative with you.
Melissa, our hearing aid dispenser, will help to keep your hearing aids running smoothly. Many repairs can be made on the spot without having to wait for an appointment. Should your hearing aid need to be returned to the manfacturer for any reason a loaner hearing aid can most often be provided.
